Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. sliced squash
    4 medium onions, chopped
    2 sweet peppers, red or green, chopped
    1/2 c. salt
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Combine first 4 ingredients and cover with water and ice for 3 hours.
    Drain.
    Bring to a boil and add remaining ingredients. Boil for 3 minutes and put in jars.
