Spicy Garbanzo Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 (6 oz.) cans no-salt-added tomato juice
    3 Tbsp. no-salt-added tomato paste
    1/4 to 1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce or to taste
    1 (15 oz.) can no-salt-added garbanzo beans, drained
    3/4 c. cubed cooked chicken or turkey
    1/2 tsp. crushed dried oregano
    1 avocado, peeled and diced
    2 Tbsp. minced fresh parsley
Preparation
    In a saucepan, over medium-high heat, heat tomato juice, tomato paste and hot pepper sauce, stirring to mix well.
    Add garbanzos and chicken or turkey and bring to a low boil.
    Reduce heat immediately.
    Add oregano and simmer 5 minutes.
    Stir in diced avocado and heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
    Serve hot with parsley sprinkled on top.
    Makes 4 (3/4-cup) servings.
