Un-Stuffed Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. extra lean ground round beef or may use turkey
    3/4 c. uncooked, parboiled brown rice
    1 onion, finely chopped
    2 beaten egg whites
    1/2 c. raisins (optional)
    2 1/2 c. sugar-free ginger ale or regular is okay
    1 1/2 c. catsup
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    2 Tbsp. honey (omit if you use regular ginger ale)
    1 head cabbage, chopped (about 7 or 8 c.)
Preparation
    Spray or grease a 13 x 9-inch pan or baking dish.
    Mix together meat, rice, onion, egg whites and raisins.
    In another bowl, beat together ginger ale, catsup, tomato sauce and honey.
    Place 5 or 6 cups chopped cabbage in baking dish.
    Spread meat mixture evenly over cabbage.
    Sprinkle remaining cabbage over this.
    Pour sauce mixture over all.
    Bake, covered, in 350\u00b0 oven for 1 1/2 hours until all ingredients are tender.
    Serves 8.
