Effortless Five Hour Oven Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean stew beef, cut in 1-inch cubes
    12 small white boiling onions
    1 c. chopped celery
    2 potatoes, cut in eighths
    6 carrots, cut into 1-inch pieces
    1 slice white bread, cubed
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce with cheese
    1 c. water
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Layer all ingredients in casserole.
    Cover and bake in preheated oven at 250\u00b0 for 5 hours.
    Thicken gravy to serve if you desire.
