Supper On A Bread Slice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 loaf unsliced French bread
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. cracker meal
    1 egg, beaten slightly
    1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    3/4 tsp. monosodium glutamate or Accent
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 c. grated process American cheese (8 oz.)
    2/3 c. undiluted evaporated milk
    1 small pkg. sliced American cheese, cut into strips
Preparation
    Cut bread in half lengthwise.
    Mix all other ingredients except sliced cheese strips.
    Spread meat mixture evenly over top surface of bread.
    Wrap aluminum foil around crust side of each half, leaving top uncovered.
    Place on a cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Remove from oven and garnish with strips of cheese.
    Bake 5 minutes longer or until bubbly and browned nicely. (This can be done under a broiler.)
