Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter, softened
1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 6 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/2 c. chopped pecans(optional)
Preparation

Cream sugar, butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy; blend in egg and vanilla.
Add combined dry ingredients;
mix well.
Stir in chocolate pieces and nuts.
Drop by rounded teaspoonsfuls onto greased baking sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
Makes approximately 5 dozen
