Cherry Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 3/4 c. flour
    1 c. Crisco
    1/2 c. margarine
    10 oz. jar maraschino cherries (use 1/2 for cake and 1/2 for frosting)
    1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
    3 c. sugar
    3/4 c. milk
    6 eggs
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Mix well. Add flavoring and cherries. Add milk and flour alternately. Place cake in cold oven. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Cool in pan 15 minutes before removing from pan.
