Ingredients

1 1/4 c. sugar, divided
1 c. flour
7 Tbsp. cocoa, divided
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. melted butter
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 1/4 c. hot water
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
In medium bowl, combine 3/4 cup sugar, flour, 3 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder and salt.
Blend in milk, butter and vanilla.
Beat until smooth.
Pour batter into pan.
In small bowl, combine remaining 1/2 cup sugar, brown sugar and remaining 4 tablespoons cocoa.
Sprinkle mixture evenly over batter.
Pour hot water over top.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until center is almost set.
Let stand 15 minutes.
Spoon into dessert dishes.
Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
Makes 8 to 10 servings.
