Southern Hamburger Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. lean ground chuck
1 small onion, chopped
1 small can green chilies
1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 can biscuits
1 c. low-fat cottage cheese
ground paprika
1 small can mushrooms, sliced
4 oz. lite cream cheese, cubed
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
Preparation

Combine meat and onion in large skillet; cook until meat is browned.
Drain meat mixture in colander and pat dry with paper towel; wipe drippings from skillet with a paper towel.
Return meat mixture to skillet; add mushrooms, green chilies and lite cream cheese.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until cheese melts.
Stir in flour, salt, pepper and cumin, blending well.
Split each biscuit in half; pat evenly into a 9-inch pie plate, coated with nonstick spray.
Spoon meat mixture over dough. Combine cottage cheese and egg, mixing well; spread evenly over meat mixture.
Sprinkle with paprika.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
