Raised Donuts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. warm water
2 pkg. active dry yeast
1 1/2 c. lukewarm milk
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 c. softened shortening
3 to 4 c. sifted flour
Preparation

Measure 1/2 cup warm water into a mixing bowl.
Add, stirring until dissolved, yeast.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Mix with a spoon until smooth.
Add enough flour to handle easily.
Mix with hand.
