Nine-Day Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head cabbage
    1 green pepper
    2 medium onions
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. salad oil
    1 c. vinegar
    1 large jar pimentos
    2 Tbsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    In large bowl, cut cabbage, onions and pepper.
    Put 2 cups of sugar over and mix well; set aside.
    In small saucepan, mix oil, vinegar, salt, celery seed and 2 tablespoons of sugar.
    Bring mixture to boil.
    Pour over cabbage mixture and pimentos.
    Stir and let cool.
    Refrigerate and cover.
    Will keep 9 days or longer.
