Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 oz. red food coloring
    3 Tbsp. Hershey's instant cocoa
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 1/4 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Mix food coloring and cocoa.
    Set aside.
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs and color mixture.
    Beat for 10 minutes.
    Add 1 cup buttermilk.
    Slowly add flour, salt and vanilla.
    Beat until well mixed.
    Mix soda in small amount of water and fold into batter.
    Bake in two 9-inch pans at 350\u00b0 for about 30 minutes.
