Authentic Mexican Meringues - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    7 egg whites
    1 lb. sugar
Preparation
    Add salt and vanilla to the egg whites and beat until mixture stands in peaks.
    Add sugar gradually and continue beating until very stiff.
    Drop mixture by teaspoonfuls onto a well-buttered cookie sheet.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 30 minutes, or until lightly browned.
