Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. dry bread, diced
    3 c. milk
    1/2 to 3/4 c. sugar
    3 eggs, well beaten
    4 Tbsp. melted butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cover bread with milk for 5 minutes.
    Add sugar, melted butter, salt and vanilla.
    Pour into buttered pan.
    Set pan in pan of water and bake for 1 hour at 325\u00b0.
