Hot Fruit Compote - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (15 oz.) can pineapple chunks, drained
    1 (16 oz.) can sliced peaches, drained
    1 (15 oz.) can spiced apple rings, drained
    1 (16 oz.) can pear halves or slices, drained
    1 (16 oz.) can apricot halves, drained
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. sherry
    12 red maraschino cherries
    1 stick melted butter or margarine
    1 egg or Egg Beaters
    1 pkg. lemon cake mix
    1 c. nuts
    3 egg or Egg Beaters
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (at room temperature)
    1 box confectioners sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
