Mom'S Mincemeat Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. beef roast, cooked and ground up
    3/4 lb. raisins
    6 to 7 apples, peeled, cored and ground coarsely
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. white sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    salt to taste
    apple juice or water (if needed)
    prepared 9-inch pie shell (double crust)
Preparation
    Cook beef roast in salted water for about 3 hours.
    Cool. Grind roast in meat grinder or food processor and measure 2 1/2 cups.
    Grind peeled and cored apples.
    Add to meat and raisins. Add cinnamon and salt; mix together.
    If mixture is too thick when mixed, add a little water or apple juice.
    Fill prepared pie shell with mixture; add vented top crust.
    Bake for 15 minutes at 375\u00b0; reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake for 45 minutes longer.
