Almond Breakfast Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 pinch salt
    1 Tbsp. almond extract
Preparation
    Melt butter and sugar.
    Beat in eggs and add flour, salt and almond extract.
    Mix well.
    Line a 10-inch skillet with foil and pour batter over it.
    Top the batter with slivered almonds and bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    Remove foil after cake has cooled.
    Serves 8.
