Chili Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    30 ripe tomatoes
    10 onions
    4 to 6 green peppers
    1 to 1 1/2 c. sugar
    5 Tbsp. salt
    1 c. cider vinegar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Peel tomatoes by scalding in boiling water for 1 minute and then putting in cold water.
    Cook tomatoes in 6-quart pot.
    Add peppers and onions.
    Simmer to cook down for about 2 hours.
    Add remaining ingredients and boil for 30 minutes.
    Prepare pint jars and canning lids as per manufacturer's instructions.
    Place chili sauce in jars and seal.
    Yields 6 to 7 pints.
