Ding Bats - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, well beaten
    1 pkg. dates, chopped
    1 c. chopped pecans
    2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    4 c. Rice Krispies
    1 large can coconut
Preparation
    Mix butter and sugar.
    Add eggs and dates.
    Cook together over low heat until dissolved.
    Add pecans and cook 10 minutes longer, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla and stir. Add Rice Krispies and mix well.
    Form in small balls and roll in coconut.
