Baked Lima Beans In Tomato Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (1 lb.) pkg. large dried lima beans
9 slices bacon
1 c. chopped onion
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1/4 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
2 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
Preparation

In large saucepan, combine the beans and 7 cups of water; bring to boiling.
Boil gently 2 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Let stand, covered, 1 hour.
Bring beans to boiling.
Reduce heat and simmer, covered 30 minutes or until beans are just tender.
Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of cooking liquid.
Cut 6 slices of bacon in 1/2-inch pieces.
Saute lightly in medium skillet.
Add onion and saute until onion is tender and bacon is browned.
Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
