Sauerkraut Bake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. bacon
2/3 c. chopped onion
1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, drained and chopped
1 (27 oz.) can sauerkraut, drained
1/2 c. light brown sugar
Preparation

In large
skillet fry bacon until crisp, drain on paper towel and
crumble.
Set
aside.
Add onion to drippings, cook until lightly
brown
and
tender.
Drain
on paper towel.
In large bowl
combine
tomatoes, kraut, sugar, bacon and onion. Turn sauerkraut mixture into a 2-quart casserole and cover and refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.
Heat oven to 350\u00b0 and bake, uncovered, 35 to 40 minutes.
Serves 8.
