Opera Nut Creams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. heavy cream
    1/2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
Preparation
    Combine sugar, cream, milk, corn syrup and salt in a 4-quart saucepan.
    Mix well.
    Bring to a boil on medium heat.
    Place thermometer in mixture and cook to 236\u00b0 (soft ball stage).
    Remove from heat; cool to 110\u00b0 (lukewarm), without stirring.
    Add vanilla and beat until mixture loses its gloss.
    Add nuts.
