Eskimo Pie(A Special Dessert) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 envelope plain gelatin
1/4 c. water
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
3 egg whites, beaten stiff
3/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. whipped cream, whipped
7 to 8 oz. chocolate bar (large), grated
Preparation

In 1/4 cup water, soften gelatin; mix egg yolks with sugar, milk, salt and vanilla in top of a double boiler.
Cook slowly until thick and mixture coats a spoon.
Add softened gelatin and stir until well mixed.
Cool.
When partially thickened, fold in stiffly, beaten egg whites and then thick whipped cream.
Sprinkle 1/2 grated chocolate over bottom of 11 x 6-inch pan.
Cover with gelatin mixture.
Top with rest of grated chocolate.
Cover with waxed paper and refrigerate overnight.
