Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/3 c. shortening
    2/3 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Mix flour and sugar.
    Cut in shortening until mixture is like small peas.
    Add buttermilk (more for moister biscuits; less for drier biscuits).
    Mix until mixture comes away from sides of bowl. (Should require very little mixing.)
    Knead a little and shape into biscuits.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for approximately 12 to 20 minutes. Remove from oven and butter top of biscuits.
