Summer Pasta Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. cooked bow tie noodles
    2 cans mandarin orange sections, drained
    1 large apple, cored and sliced
    2 celery stalks, chopped
    3 c. cooked chicken, cut in bite size pieces
    1 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. whipping cream (not whipped)
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 head romaine lettuce leaves (use more if needed)
    1/2 c. almonds, sliced and toasted
Preparation
    In a large bowl, combine the noodles, oranges, apple, celery and chicken.
    In small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, cream, lemon juice and sugar to make the dressing.
    Combine dressing with other ingredients.
    Toss lightly so all pieces are coated; refrigerate 1 hour.
    Toast almonds in a small pan in a 300\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes, or until they just begin to turn brown.
    Set aside.
    Serve salad on lettuce leaves; top with the toasted almonds.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
