Homestead Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (20 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
1 can red beans, drained and rinsed
4 ribs celery, chopped
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
1 Tbsp. flour
1/2 c. vinegar
3/4 c. sugar
salt to taste
Preparation

Cook and drain mixed vegetables.
Add to celery, green pepper, onion and red beans in large mixing bowl.
Cook mustard, sugar, salt, flour and vinegar, stirring, until thick.
Cool.
Pour over vegetables.
Refrigerate.
Keeps a week.
Freezes well.
