Zesty Franks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. beer
    2 tsp. cornstarch
    1 1/2 c. hickory-smoked barbecue sauce
    1 (10 oz.) jar apple jelly
    several dashes bottled hot pepper sauce
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. hot dogs or cocktail wieners
    1 1/2 c. frozen small whole onions
Preparation
    For Sauce:
    In a small saucepan, combine beer and cornstarch, then stir in barbecue sauce, apple jelly and hot pepper sauce. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Then cook and stir for 2 minutes more.
