Superbowl Sandwich - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) loaf French bread
    1/2 lb. ground chuck
    1/2 lb. bulk pork sausage
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 egg
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese
    butter and garlic
Preparation
    Cut off ends of French bread and set aside.
    Hollow out the center of loaf with a long serrated bread knife, leaving a 1/2-inch shell.
    Put bread in food processor and process to make coarse crumbs.
    Cook sausage, beef and onion in skillet until brown; drain well.
    Add 1 cup of reserved bread crumbs, cheese, egg, salt and pepper.
    Mix well.
