Gone-All-Day-Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. stewing beef, cubed
    3 medium carrots, sliced
    2 onions, chopped
    3 potatoes, peeled and quartered
    cooked or frozen peas or any leftover vegetable
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) tomato soup
    1/2 can water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
    1/4 c. sweet or sour pickle juice or cooking wine
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 275\u00b0.
    Put all ingredients in large casserole with lid to fit.
    No need to brown meat.
    Mix all ingredients. Cover.
    Bake for 5 hours.
