Washington Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. corn oil
    3 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    5 c. peeled, diced apples
    1 c. nuts (pecans or walnuts)
Preparation
    Cream together sugar and corn oil.
    Add eggs, one at a time and vanilla.
    Sift together flour, soda, salt and cinnamon.
    Add dry mixture to apples and nuts.
    Add creamed mixture.
    Batter will be thick (a stiff doughy mixture).
    Bake in greased 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan at 325\u00b0 for 55 to 60 minutes.
