Broccoli Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large bunch broccoli
    1 large bunch cauliflower (if desired)
    1/2 lb. bacon, fried and crumbled
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. vinegar or cider
Preparation
    Combine mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar; heat on low until sugar dissolves; cool.
    Chop broccoli and cauliflower and combine with bacon, onion and Cheddar cheese.
    Pour dressing over salad and mix.
    Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.
