Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pie shell
    1/2 c. pecan halves
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. dark syrup
    1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine chopped pecans, butter, vanilla, sugar, eggs and syrup.
    Pour into pie shell; bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Arrange pecan halves on top of pie filling.
    Reduce heat; bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Bake slowly.
