Jello Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) box peach or apricot jello
    2/3 c. boiling water
    2 c. ice cubes
    1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip
    1 can mandarin oranges or peaches, diced and drained
Preparation
    Dissolve jello in boiling water, stirring about 3 minutes.
    Add ice cubes and stir constantly until jello is thickened, about 2 to 3 minutes.
    Remove any unmelted ice.
    Using wire whip, blend in Cool Whip.
    Whip until smooth.
    Fold in fruit and chill.
