Pineapple Surprise - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. vanilla wafers
    1/2 c. butter
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
    1 (No. 2) can pineapple
    1 pt. cream
Preparation
    Roll vanilla wafers into fine crumbs.
    Divide crumbs into 3 parts.
    Put 1/3 in bottom of square dish.
    Beat butter, eggs and powdered sugar until creamy.
    Pour over crumb layer.
    On top of this mixture, place another layer of crumbs.
    Whip 1 pint of cream into can of pineapple.
    Pour cream and pineapple over second layer of crumbs.
    Top with portion of crumbs.
    Freeze overnight.
    Whipped cream may be used for topping.
