Apple Butter - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 c. apple pulp
4 c. sugar
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/3 c. lemon juice or vinegar
2 to 3 drops cinnamon oil
a few drops of red food coloring (optional)
Preparation

Peel apples and slice. Cook with a little water. Stir often. After cooking awhile, put in a blender and measure pulp. Add rest of ingredients. Bring to a boil and cook for 15 minutes. Pour in clean hot jars and seal.
