V.B.S. Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. margarine (2 1/4 lb.)
    6 c. firmly packed brown sugar (3 lb.)
    3 c. sugar
    6 medium eggs
    1 1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. vanilla
    18 c. oatmeal (large box)
    6 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. soda
    3 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    In very large bowl, beat until creamy first 6 ingredients. In another large bowl, sift together flour, salt and soda; add to creamy mixture.
    Mix well, then add oatmeal and nuts.
    Mix well with wooden spoon; drop onto ungreased cookie sheet, flatten with fork.
    Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 360\u00b0 (for chewy cookies, bake less time).
    Yield:
    10 dozen.
