Canadian Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 lb. shredded medium sharp Cheddar
    2 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. Worcestershire
    1 small clove minced garlic
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. diced cooked cauliflower
    1 c. sliced mushrooms
    1/2 c. thinly sliced carrots
    1 c. finely chopped onions
    1 c. diced ham
    2 c. half and half or evaporated milk
Preparation
    Mix cornstarch and cheese.
    Boil water.
    Gradually add cheese, stirring over medium heat until smooth.
    Remove from heat.
    Add spices.
    Saute ham, then each vegetable separately in butter, adding each to soup.
    Heat again, adding milk until desired thickness is reached.
    Hearty enough for a whole meal!
