Flitters - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. Arm & Hammer soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. all-purpose flour (not self-rising)
shortening
Preparation

Mix into a bowl, buttermilk, soda, salt and baking powder. Stir until batter is smooth.
Add flour and stir until batter is of a pancake batter consistency.
Melt shortening in a pan and cook as you would pancakes, at a medium temperature.
