Alitcha Fit Pit (Ethiopia) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
3 Tbsp. chopped red onion
1 1/3 c. water
1 c. sliced beef
3 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
2 1/4 c. seasoned croutons
1 1/2 lb. sausage or ham, chopped
6 beaten eggs
2 1/4 c. milk
1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
3/4 tsp. dry mustard
2 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Spread croutons in lightly greased 13 x 9-inch dish.
Cook sausage until brown; drain well and sprinkle over croutons. Combine eggs and next 4 ingredients.
Mix well and pour over sausage.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Remove from refrigerator and let stand 30 to 45 minutes.
Bake, uncovered, 50 to 55 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Sprinkle cheese on top and bake 5 minutes longer or until cheese melts.
