Sour Cream Date Delights - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1/2 c. sour cream
2/3 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Sift flour with dry ingredients; cream butter and sugar; add egg and vanilla flavoring.
Mix well.
Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with sour cream.
Fold in chopped dates and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Yields 5 dozen cookies.
