Strawberry Blintz Torte - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
4 egg yolks
3 tsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
4 egg whites
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. whipping cream
2 Tbsp. powdered sugar
1 c. sliced strawberries
Preparation

Combine flour, baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Combine shortening and 1/2 cup of sugar; cream until light and fluffy.
Beat egg yolks until thick; add to creamed mixture.
Stir in milk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
Add dry ingredients and beat until smooth.
Spread in two 8-inch cake pans.
