Microwave Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. corn syrup (light or dark)
1/2 c. water
dash of salt
1 Tbsp. margarine or butter
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. roasted peanuts
Preparation

Place sugar, corn syrup, water, salt and peanuts in a 2-quart microwave-safe bowl or casserole dish.
Cook on High 5 minutes, then stir.
Cook on High an additional 13 to 15 minutes or until syrup reaches hard crack stage (300\u00b0 on candy thermometer).
Stir in margarine or butter, baking soda and vanilla, just until light and bubbly.
Pour onto buttered cookie sheet; spread.
Cool and break into pieces.
