Chocolate Covered Cherry Delights - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. melted butter
2 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. cocoa powder
3 c. flour
2 small (10 oz.) jars maraschino cherries
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 c. condensed sweetened milk

Preparation

Melt butter and mix in sugar. Let mixture cool and add egg. Mix thoroughly and then add baking powder, baking soda, salt, vanilla and cocoa, stirring after each addition.
Add flour and mix well. Dough will be stiff and a bit crumbly.
Drain cherries and reserve juice.
