Angel Food Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 angel food cake (store bought works well)
    8 oz. pkg. \"lite\" cream cheese
    1 medium \"lite\" whipped topping
    1/4 c. powdered sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 can pie filling or cooked thickened fruit
Preparation
    Break cake in bits in large bowl.
    Soften cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla.
    Add whipped topping.
    Mix well.
    Add to cake.
    Mix well.
    Press into 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
    Press down well.
    Spread pie filling over top.
    Cover well.
    Refrigerate. Best made day before serving.
    Serve cold.
    May use crushed pineapple, thickened, or any fresh fruit, cooked and thickened.
