Ingredients

3 sweet Spanish onions, sliced 1/2-inch thick
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Preparation

Separate onions into rings.
Mix dry ingredients with liquids, stirring only enough for batter to be smooth.
Dip rings into batter.
Fry a few at a time in deep fat (375\u00b0).
Drain on brown paper bag.
Sprinkle with salt, if desired.
Serve immediately or keep warm in oven.
