Shoyu Chicken - cooking recipe
Ingredients

chicken thighs, with skin
1/2 - 2/3 c. Kikkoman soy sauce (or more, to taste)
3 green onions, cut into 2-inch pieces
4 Tbsp. brown sugar (or more, to taste)
1 c. water
3 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
2 ginger slices, crushed slightly
1/4 c. white zinfandel
Preparation

Place all of the above ingredients into a large pot and bring to a rapid boil.
Lower heat to medium low and cover with lid. After 30 minutes, turn chicken over and cook on the other side for an additional 30 minutes.
After one hour (total) cooking, taste the sauce and adjust to your liking.
If sauce is too salty, add more sugar.
If sauce is too sweet, add a bit of soy sauce.
You know the chicken is done when it is just about falling off the bone.
