Italian Anise Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening, melted and cooled
    4 c. sifted flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. sugar
    4 eggs, well beaten
    4 tsp. anise extract
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Add melted shortening, eggs and anise. Mix well.
    Works best using hands.
    Roll into balls about the size of a walnut.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350\u00b0 until brown on bottom.
