Guava Jelly - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    24 guavas
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 gal. water
Preparation
    Peel guavas and cut into squares.
    Add sugar to top and let sit for 8 hours, until sugar has dissolved.
    Add the water and boil for 2 hours.
    Let sit until cool.
    Strain juice into another container.
    Check to see if guavas are thick enough.
    If not, cook 30 more minutes.
