Cheesecake Squares - cooking recipe

1 (16 oz.) container cottage cheese
1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar, divided
3 eggs
1 1/4 cups sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
In a blender, blend cottage cheese until smooth; pour into a large bowl and add the cream cheese and 3/4 cup sugar.
Beat until evenly blended.
Add eggs, beating until well mixed.
Pour into an 8 inch square baking dish. Bake 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Meanwhile in a small bowl, combine the sour cream, remaining 1/4 cup sugar and the vanilla; mix well.
Remove the cake from the oven and spread the sour cream mixture evenly over the top.
Bake an additional 10 minutes.
Allow to cool, then cut into squares.
