Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. milk
    1 egg, beaten
    2 Tbsp. shortening or oil
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Add nuts.
    Combine milk, egg and shortening or oil.
    Add to dry ingredients.
    Stir until well mixed.
    Pour into greased 8 x 4-inch loaf pan.
    Let stand 20 minutes before baking.
    Bake at about 350\u00b0 for about 1 hour. Check at 40 minutes.
